When we talk about sexual behavior we most likely don’t think children are susceptible to deviant sexual behaviors. From Indiana county child trauma center,it’s been proven that children do experience sexual behavioural problems.

Some boys manifest sexual behavioural problems when they demonstrate self induced sexual behavior or inappropriate or sexual aggressiveness towards same or opposite sex which comprises of excessive masturbation,forceful sexual expression,rape,sodomy, inappropriate sexual touch of other person’s private body,hooked on porn and intake of sex enhancement drugs.

On day I stumbled on a couple of secondary School boys patronising a sex enhancer drug peddler,who sells them in smaller quantities. It was shocking to see boys less than 15 buying up aphrodisiacs without a recourse to the medical implications of such drugs to their health.

MISCONCEPTION ON SEXUAL BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEMS IN BOYS

1- Sexual behavioural problems in boys is not an issue.

2- Sexual act between a little boy and a girl is child’s play.

3- Boys who have sexual behavioural problems may have been abused.

4-Boys who have been sexually abused have the tendency to sexually abuse others.

5-Only boys have sexual behavioural problems.

6-Boys who exhibit sexual behavioural problems should not be allowed to mingle with other children for fear of sexually abusing other kids.

7- Boys with sexual behavioural problems should stop going to school.

8- Boys with sexual behavioural challenges will grow up to become adult sex offenders.

Sexual behaviors in children is considered a problem when the sexual behavior occurs………

A- High frequency

b- Affects a child’s social or cognitive growth.

c- Occurs under pressure or use of threat or force.

d- Emotional and psychological trauma

e-Still occurs even after intervention.

Boys can experience sexual behavioural problems as a result of exposure to sex materials from magazines,TV, radio,music videos,family sexuality patterns,family violence and physical abuse.

Once you notice your son is exhibiting sexual behavioural problems,that’s not the time and space to scold or spank. It’s time to have one on one conversations and eventually seek the intervention of a child pyschologist because #boyslivesmatter
